John 3:16-18 (NKJV)

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Yahdah – Lifting of the hands unto the Father

Towdah – Confessing His Word, giving testimony of His grace

Barauch – To bow down or kneel in submission unto the Lord

Zamar – To sing along with music unto the Lord

Halah – To speak praises with a foolish clamor unto the Lord

Tehillah – To sing Halah, boastful praises unto the Father

Shabach – Loud adoration with a joyful attitude, shouts of praise!

These are seven Hebrew words that describe ways to express worship, praise and adoration unto our Lord. Let us express praise and worship unto the Lord in at least 7 ways, because he is worthy!

Jehovah Go’el – Lord our Redeemer – Isaiah 49:26, 60:16

Jehovah Jireh – Lord our Provider – Genesis 22:14, 1 John 4:9, Phillipians 4:19

Jehovah Nissi – Lord our Banner – 1 Chronicles 29:11-13

Jehovah Rohi – Lord our Shepherd – Psalm 23

Jehovah Rophe – Lord our Healer – Isaiah 53:4-5

Jehovah Shalom – Lord of Peace – Isaiah 9:6, Romans 8:31-35

Jehovah Shammah – Lord is Present – Hebrews 13:5

Jehovah Tsidkenu – Lord of Righteousness – 1 Corinthians 1:30

Jehovah ‘Uzam – Lord our Strength in Trouble – Isaiah 49:26
